Stored XSS via unsanitized menu link
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stored XSS in Wow-Company Float Menu before 5.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted menu link. The plugin saves a javascript: URI supplied in an item's Link setting and emits it as the generated front-end link without rejecting the active scheme. Administrator access is required to store the payload, and a visitor must click the generated link; script then runs in that visitor's browser context.
