CVE-2023-32228

Unauthorized physical access via Wiegand data misinterpretation

Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Input misinterpretation in Bosch AMS 5.0 and earlier and BIS 4.9.2 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to gain entry. AMC2-4WCF and AMC2-2WCF firmware misinterprets access-card data received from a Wiegand reader and treats it as belonging to the last authorized user. Exploitation requires physical presentation to a Wiegand-connected controller; OSDP and RS485 configurations are not affected.
