CVE-2023-32212Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Address-bar spoofing via unconstrained datalist popup

Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated May 27, 2025

UI spoofing in Mozilla Firefox before 113, Firefox ESR before 102.11, and Thunderbird before 102.11 allows remote attackers to obscure the address bar. The form-control layout code anchors a datalist autocomplete popup to an offscreen input without constraining the popup to the content area, allowing it to overlap browser chrome. A user must open a crafted page and invoke the datalist; the overlay clears after another click or keypress, limiting the effect to transient visual spoofing.
