Expression-language injection in Apache Jena 3.7.0 through 4.8.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a SPARQL query. The ARQ scripting-function path accepts query-selected functions without restricting calls to an explicit approved-function list. Custom scripting must be available; Jena 4.8.0 requires explicit enablement, and Java 17 or later also requires an added JavaScript engine.
