Remote command execution via unescaped request URL
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024
Reflected XSS in Norman before 0.0.0-20240207153100-3bb70b772b52 allows remote attackers to execute commands via crafted URLs. ParseRequestURL concatenates the request path into a response URL, and the HTML response writer renders that value without context-appropriate encoding. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL in the API UI; the resulting script runs in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
