Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked TFTP path
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Path traversal in D-Link D-View 8 2.0.1.27 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive files without authentication. The TftpSendFileThread class uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that the resolved path remains within an authorized directory. A network request can therefore retrieve files accessible to the D-View service running as SYSTEM, while no data modification or service interruption is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
