CVE-2023-32155

Kernel code execution via bcmdhd buffer overrun

Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in the bcmdhd driver in Tesla Model 3 software 2023.6 allows local users to execute code in the kernel. The driver fails to validate user-supplied data before writing it, allowing the write to pass the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires prior code execution on the Wi-Fi subsystem and grants arbitrary code execution in the kernel context.
