Unauthorized access via unchanged default operator credentials
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Use of default passwords in Pegasystems Pega Platform 6.1 through 7.3.1 allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized operator access. The platform provisions default operator accounts with known username and password combinations that installations retain unless administrators change them. Exploitation requires a reachable login service and an unchanged, enabled default operator, granting that operator's configured access.
