Authenticated command execution via unescaped clone URL
Published May 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025
Command injection in WWBN AVideo 12.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the CloneSite plugin. cloneClient.json.php interpolates the stored cloneSiteURL into a wget command passed to exec() without shell escaping. A low-privileged account must configure and invoke CloneSite; injected shell metacharacters then run with the web service's permissions.
