Firebase key overwrite via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in FluxBuilder MStore API 3.9.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite the Firebase server key. The mstore_update_firebase_server_key function accepts a state-changing request without validating a WordPress nonce before saving the supplied key. Exploitation requires an administrator to open an attacker-controlled link or page, after which order-status push notifications use the attacker-selected key.
