Unauthenticated code execution via malformed PGM input
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 1, 2025
Improper input validation in Windows PGM allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted network request. Microsoft identifies improper input validation in PGM but has not disclosed the affected parser, field, or incorrect validation operation. The Message Queuing service must run as a PGM server; no authentication or user interaction is required, and code executes in the service context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
