Unauthenticated code execution via PGM integer underflow
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 1, 2025
Integer underflow in Microsoft Windows PGM allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending crafted PGM traffic. Microsoft identifies CWE-191 but has not published the affected function, arithmetic operation, or packet field that underflows. Exploitation is unauthenticated and network-based, but a target application must create and listen on a PGM receiver socket for the crafted traffic to reach the transport.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
