Authenticated code execution via unbound editid
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Rail Pass Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through editid. The admin/edit-category-detail.php handler reads editid from the URL and inserts it unfiltered into a SELECT statement instead of binding it as a parameter. An authenticated administrator session is required; demonstrated exploitation enumerates databases, while the CVE record reports arbitrary code execution.
