Stored script execution via unneutralized branch name
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Online School Fees System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script via the branch parameter. The branch.php add action stores the POST branch value and later renders it on the branch page without neutralizing script markup. A low-privileged session can plant the payload, but execution requires another user to visit the affected page, exposing or altering that user's application data.
