Administrative web UI hang via incomplete GET
Published Apr 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Denial of service in ASUS RT-AC51U firmware 3.0.0.4.380.8591 and earlier allows local users to hang the administrative web UI. The single-threaded httpd accept loop waits indefinitely on an incomplete GET request, blocking it from accepting new administrative connections. Access to the router's LAN is required, and the documented effect is loss of web-administration availability rather than a device reboot.
