Local privilege escalation in OpenText Documentum Content Server before 23.2 allows local users to gain root access through dm_secure_writer. The root-owned SUID binary's directory and root-user checks can be bypassed, allowing it to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary files as root. Exploitation requires local access as a non-privileged Documentum user and can place a root cron entry that executes attacker-supplied commands.
