Stored script execution via unfiltered article content
Published May 19, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Stored XSS in JizhiCMS 2.4.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when an administrator previews an article. The server accepts a modified article POST body without backend filtering, stores its script markup, and renders it in the administrator preview. Article-publishing access and an administrator preview are required; the script runs in the administrator's origin, and the published proof demonstrates reading autofilled credentials.
