CVE-2023-3186Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser prototype pollution via query-string parsing

Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024

Prototype pollution in Smart Popup by Supsystic before 1.10.19 allows context-dependent attackers to alter Object.prototype via a crafted URL. The plugin's client-side parseStr routine interprets nested proto query-string keys and assigns their values to Object.prototype. A popup configured to load on the visited page and interaction with the crafted URL are required; the published PoC demonstrates property injection only.
