Authenticated SQL injection via class identifier
Published May 15, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025
SQL injection in Sourcecodester Faculty Evaluation System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database metadata through a crafted class id. The manage_class.php endpoint interprets the id query parameter as SQL syntax, and an injected UPDATEXML expression exposes the current database name in an error. Administrative access is required, and further database effects are bounded by the application's database-account privileges.
