Browser script execution via unsanitized search input
Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Reflected XSS in IT Sourcecode Content Management System 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via search. The search form accepts a POSTed script payload and renders it as active markup in the results page rather than neutralizing it. Exploitation requires a user to submit or follow a crafted search request; demonstrated consequences include access to browser-readable cookies.
