Stored XSS via unfiltered note titles
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Chamilo LMS 1.11.18 notes allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The note_title fields in the personal-notebook and teacher-notebook forms store text without applying Chamilo's HTML filter, allowing markup to render as active content. A user account is required, and execution occurs only when another user views the crafted note, exposing data or actions available to that viewer.
