Cross-user script execution via unfiltered profile fields
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in personal profiles in Chamilo LMS 1.11.18 allows remote authenticated users to run script in other users' browsers. The extra-field form path in main/inc/lib/extra_field.lib.php applies only trimming to skype and linkedin_url values, then stores them for profile display without HTML filtering. A normal account must populate an enabled field, and script executes only when a friend or administrator views the attacker's social-network profile.
