Unauthenticated database access via unsanitized login username
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 17, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Employee and Visitor Gate Pass Logging System 1.0 allows remote attackers to access account data. The login handler in /employee_gatepass/classes/Login.php passes the unsanitized username parameter into a database query, enabling time-based and Boolean-based injection. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted login requests can manipulate the administrator account and expose or alter other account information.
