CVE-2023-31728Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote service exposure via bridge-mode firewall bypass

Published Feb 17, 2024 · Updated Nov 1, 2024

Improper access control in Teltonika RUT240 Firmware before 07.04.2 allows remote attackers to reach local-only HTTP and SSH services. Bridge mode treats cellular traffic as local, binds those services to global IPv6 addresses, and prevents WAN-zone firewall rules from matching it. Exposure requires bridge mode, IPv6 cellular connectivity, and enabled local services; valid credentials remain necessary to administer the router.
