Administrative actions via missing CSRF token validation
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
CSRF in EyouCMS 1.6.2 allows remote attackers to delete articles or users by inducing an administrator to open a crafted HTML file. Administrative settings and deletion endpoints accept state-changing requests without anti-CSRF token validation, so the victim's active session authorizes forged requests. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the file; demonstrated consequences are settings changes and article or user deletion.
