Browser script execution via unescaped tenantDomain parameter
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Reflected XSS in WSO2 API Manager before 4.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted login URL. The /authenticationendpoint/login.do handler places the tenantDomain query value into the response without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; successful script runs in the login page's origin and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
