Authenticated service crash via unbounded ORDER BY fields
Published Jun 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in RuoYi 4.7.0 through 4.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash the service. SqlUtil's ORDER BY validation accepts an unbounded comma-separated field list and passes it into processing that drives excessive Java and MySQL work. Reachability requires a low-privileged authenticated session and adjacent-network access; successful requests exhaust CPU and make the service unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
