Account impersonation via unchecked cancellation order ID
Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in ThemeHigh Payment Gateway of Stripe for WooCommerce 3.7.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to access order-owner accounts. The eh_spg_stripe_cancel_order handler accepts an order_id and createaccount flag, retrieves that order's user ID, and issues an authentication cookie without verifying the requester. Stripe Checkout redirection must be enabled and the targeted account must own an order; customer access is typical, but test orders can expose shop-manager or administrator accounts.
