CVE-2023-31469Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unrestricted REST interface

Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Improper privilege management in Apache StreamPipes 0.69.0 through 0.91.0 allows remote authenticated users to elevate assigned roles. Apache has disclosed only that a REST interface lacked an admin-only access restriction; the affected endpoint and omitted authorization check are not public. Any valid non-admin account is sufficient, and the elevated privileges extend beyond the roles originally assigned.
