Service interruption via JSON object mutation
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Denial of service in NATO NCI Agency anet 3.3.0 and earlier allows local users to trigger an exception with a crafted JSON file. The sanitizeJson path iterates an ObjectNode while removing and resetting sanitized keys, so U+FFFD replacement-character input mutates the object during traversal. A victim must cause the local application to process the attacker-supplied file; successful exploitation interrupts availability without disclosed data access or modification.
