Privilege escalation in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.1.1c and 9.2.0 allows local users to obtain root privileges through CLI commands. Broadcom identifies manipulated passwords or variables supplied to portcfgupload, configupload, license, and myid, but does not disclose the defective validation or privilege transition. A non-privileged account and local CLI access are required; successful exploitation grants full root control of the switch.
