Local privilege escalation via full path names
Published Aug 1, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Brocade Fabric OS before 9.1.1c or 9.2.0 allows local users to execute commands beyond assigned privileges using full path names. Broadcom has not identified the affected command or disclosed how use of full path names bypasses privilege enforcement. An authenticated local account and knowledge of internal full paths are required; successful exploitation permits any command regardless of the assigned role.
