CVE-2023-31426Network attack vector

Server-password disclosure via supportsave logging

Published Aug 1, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Sensitive information exposure in Brocade Fabric OS before 8.2.3d, 9.1.1c, and 9.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server passwords. The configupload and configdownload commands place SCP, SFTP, and FTP server passwords into supportsave diagnostic output rather than redacting the credentials. Authenticated command access is required, and disclosure is limited to stored transfer-server credentials.
