Installation compromise via unauthenticated SMB share writes
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Incorrect authorization in SAP Business One 10.0 allows remote attackers on the local network to read and write installation files. The installation creates an SMB share for client setup files without proper authentication and authorization checks, allowing untrusted users to modify files later executed or consumed by the installer. An attacker must reach SMB on the same or adjacent network; altered files can expose or corrupt installation data and disrupt availability.
