Admin URL disclosure via crafted lost-password redirect
Published Jul 4, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Information disclosure in WP-EXPERTS.IN Protect WP Admin before 4.0 allows remote attackers to obtain the hidden admin URL via a crafted request. A request to wp-login.php with the lost-password action and an invalid-key error is redirected to the configured custom login path instead of remaining on the public endpoint. No authentication is required, and the disclosed path defeats the plugin's URL-hiding control without granting administrative access by itself.
