CVE-2023-31365

Privileged memory corruption via SMU integer overflow

Published Sep 6, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025

Integer overflow in the SMU of affected AMD Radeon graphics products allows local users with high privileges to corrupt reserved dRAM. AMD has not disclosed the overflowing operation or input, but the resulting value permits a write beyond the reserved dRAM boundary. A high-complexity local path is required; successful exploitation can damage memory integrity or interrupt service.
