Host crash via malformed SMI flooding

Improper IOMMU memory-write handling in affected AMD processors allows guest OS users to crash a virtualization host. Malformed System Management Interrupt flooding from a guest VM drives repeated direct writes through the IOMMU until the host raises a fatal machine check error. Execution requires control of a guest VM; a successful attack crashes the host and interrupts every co-located guest.
