Reflected XSS via unescaped pre-population parameters
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in WPMU DEV Forminator before 1.24.4 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via pre-populated form parameters. A configured query parameter is copied into a form field without adequate output escaping, allowing crafted markup to escape the textarea context. The form must enable pre-population, and a victim must open the crafted URL and interact with the field, exposing browser data and actions.
