CVE-2023-31307

Service interruption via unvalidated PMFW array index

Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Improper array-index validation in AMD Radeon W6000 and RX 6000 PMFW allows local users to cause a service interrupt. PMFW accepts an array index without validating that it is within bounds, causing an out-of-bounds memory read. High privileges are required, and AMD reports only an availability impact; the precise form of service interruption is undisclosed.
