Credential disclosure via cleartext password-reset email
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Weak password recovery in Sesami Cash Point & Transport Optimizer 6.3.8.6 allows remote attackers to obtain password-reset credentials. The Password Reset feature generates a new password and sends it unencrypted in clear text by email instead of issuing a short-lived reset link. Exposure is limited to credentials carried by the reset message; the public advisory does not describe the attacker's required access to the email path.
