Sensitive data disclosure via exported profile formulas
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSV injection in Sesami Cash Point & Transport Optimizer 6.3.8.6 (#718) allows remote attackers to expose data through exported profiles. CPTO writes formula-leading User Profile input into an exported users CSV without neutralization, so spreadsheet software executes the formula when the file is opened. The attack requires a staff member to export and open the CSV, after which the formula can transmit data accessible to the spreadsheet process.
