Out-of-bounds read in Horner Automation Cscape 9.90 SP8 and Cscape EnvisionRV 4.70 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted project file. The project-file parser fails to validate user-supplied HMI data before performing an out-of-bounds read; public sources do not identify the affected function. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current process.
