CVE-2023-31241Network attack vector

Unauthenticated device takeover via alternate cloud route

Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Authentication bypass in Snap One OvrC Cloud before 7.3 allows remote attackers to claim devices through an alternate server route. The cloud service exposes a route that bypasses normal device-claim requirements, but Snap One and CISA have not published the route or its validation logic. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation interrupts the rightful operator's access to or control of claimed devices.
