CVE-2023-31223Network attack vector

Persistent XSS via insufficient avatar validation

Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated May 30, 2025

Persistent XSS in Dradis Pro before 4.8.0 allows remote authenticated users with author access to execute JavaScript through avatars. Avatar handling accepts insufficiently validated content that is later rendered in another user's browser, although public sources disclose no affected field or function. Exploitation requires author access and a user who views the affected avatar, exposing that viewer's browser context to attacker-controlled actions.
