Deserialization in Medtronic Paceart Optima 1.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code or interrupt service via crafted MSMQ messages. The optional Paceart Messaging Service unsafely deserializes crafted messages in its Microsoft Message Queuing implementation. The service is disabled by default; when enabled, exploitation can expose, alter, or delete cardiac-device data, make the system unresponsive, or support further network penetration.
