CVE-2023-31208Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via Livestatus delimiter injection

Published May 17, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Command injection in Checkmk before 2.0.0p36, before 2.1.0p28, and before 2.2.0b8 allows remote authenticated users to run Livestatus commands. REST API endpoints using Livestatus filter operators fail to neutralize command delimiters, causing crafted filter values to be parsed as additional commands. Access to an affected REST API route is required, and injected commands can read limited data, alter monitoring state, or interrupt service.
