Instruction execution via incompletely filtered input
Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Incomplete input filtering in SEL-5030 acSELerator QuickSet Software 7.1.3.0 and earlier allows attackers to embed executable instructions. SEL and Nozomi have not published the affected parser, input format, or special elements that pass through filtering. Execution requires an authorized device operator to process the attacker-supplied content, and the published impact is limited to instruction execution in that operator-driven workflow.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
