CVE-2023-31171

Code execution via malicious DMX configuration import

Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 27, 2024

SQL injection in SEL-5030 acSELerator QuickSet Software 7.1.3.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DMX file. The device-configuration import path restores an external DMX package without neutralizing embedded SQL instructions, causing supplied code to run as NETWORK SERVICE. Exploitation requires an authorized operator to import the attacker-controlled file; successful execution has NETWORK SERVICE privileges.
