CVE-2023-31168

Instruction execution via embedded untrusted functionality

Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 27, 2024

Untrusted-functionality inclusion in SEL-5030 acSELerator QuickSet 7.1.3.0 and earlier allows local users to execute embedded instructions. SEL and Nozomi Networks have not published the affected parser, input format, or operation that accepts and runs those instructions. Exploitation requires high local privileges to embed the instructions and an authorized device operator to execute them, permitting integrity changes across a security boundary.
