Cross-tenant source tampering via missing ownership checks
Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Improper authorization in Apache InLong 1.4.0 through 1.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter or stop other users' sources. Manager source handlers selected records by supplied identifiers without verifying that the operator belonged to the owning group's inCharges list. Any InLong account able to invoke these handlers can edit, delete, stop, or restart another group's sources, disrupting data ingestion.
